Kind of a crazy morning at The Journey yesterday. We were over on our time a little, there were a couple surprises, we pulled an element from the worship gathering at the last minute, there was something soapy leaking from our offices into the auditorium, and a few other things.
But, the band did an awesome job! Matt did great with Foo Fighters (and filling in for Mark and me in small spots during the service), and our hosts and coffee bar and Kids staff did awesome! We were almost at capacity in 2's & 3's at the 11 am service, and we had only 18 parking spaces left. The hot coffee ran out. We need to figure out a system to be able to handle the rush. Our hosts do a great job welcoming people and then helping them get to where they need to go and helping them find seats.
It was packed today! 575 people ( a new attendance record at The Journey for a normal Sunday). We had 145 kids and leaders in Journey Kids. That's almost double the size of the average church in America. V's doing a great job leading.
We had a number of people come to the baptism meeting. Should be fun at the end of the month!! Keep parking far and sitting near everyone!!
